Tesla Autopilot Scores Low for Driver Engagement in European Safety Rating

Tesla’s Autopilot has ranked sixth in ten driver help techniques evaluated in a European security evaluation, scoring minimal on its capacity to maintain drivers engaged.

The Tesla Model 3’s Autopilot scored just 36 when assessed on its capacity to retain a driver’s emphasis on the street. But it acquired the highest marks for effectiveness and capacity to react to emergencies, acquiring an all round score of 131 and a rating of ‘moderate’.

In contrast, the Mercedes GLE’s procedure, which had the highest all round score of 174 and obtained the top rated rating of ‘very good’, obtained a score of 85 for driver engagement. Most other automobiles had scores of 70 or over for driver engagement.
