England gamers Phil Foden and Mason Greenwood have been dropped for Tuesday’s game towards Denmark soon after breaching coronavirus principles in Iceland.
Foden and Greenwood the two produced their England debuts in the one- victory in excess of Iceland in the Nations League on Saturday.
But they will return to England from Reykjavik rather than traveling to Copenhagen on Monday soon after social media video was published in Iceland purporting to display the gamers meeting girls from outdoors the staff bubble.
“Unfortunately this morning it was brought to my awareness that two of the boys have broken the COVID recommendations in terms of our safe bubble,” England coach Gareth Southgate explained. “So we had to make a decision quite swiftly that they couldn’t have any interaction with the rest of the staff and and wouldn’t be in a position to travel to education.”
Southgate explained the gamers did also not join the rest of the squad for breakfast on Monday.
“They have been naive,” explained Southgate, who was unable to verify if the 18-yr-outdated Greenwood and twenty-yr-outdated Foden had left the staff hotel in Iceland.
The England traveling group, which is frequently examined for COVID-19, was exempt from the Icelandic specifications to quarantine for 5 days on arrival.
“Given the procedures we have to stick to now they will have to travel back to England,” Southgate explained. “What is clear there was a breach of the COVID recommendations. We have invested so prolonged finding individuals measures in spots.”
