IPL 2020: KXIP skipper KL Rahul promises to bounce back after crushing defeat to Mumbai Indians

In a game that was looked on as the clash amongst two batting hefty teams, Mumbai Indians thumped Kings XI Punjab by 48 runs in Abu Dhabi.

Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma has been in unbelievable kind this IPL 2020 and it was no unique towards the Kings XI Punjab on Thursday.

The skipper led from the front in a brilliant 70 off 45 balls with eight fours and three sixes. But it was the final 5 overs of the Mumbai Indians batting that at some point produced all the big difference in the game.

All-rounders Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya smashed the KXIP bowling all all over the stadium and place on 89 runs in the final 5 overs to get the staff to a challenging target of 191 runs.

Kings XI Punjab hardly ever really appeared to be in the game even though batting with wickets falling at common intervals.

Disappointed with our efficiency, says KL Rahul

Hunting back at the game, KXIP skipper KL Rahul expressed disappointment at the way this game went about.

“Obviously disappointing. Hunting back, we could’ve been 3 wins out of 4. This game, we produced some errors. Significant we come back more powerful,” KL Rahul stated.

Speaking on the wicket circumstances, the star batsman stated, “Wicket looked excellent with the new ball. Never know if it slowed up soon after that. A different bowling solution would be wonderful – an all-rounder solution who can bat and bowl nicely. Will be sitting with the coaches to choose if we want to perform an added bowler.”

Speaking about his team’s efficiency and Mayank Agarwal as the new Orange cap holder, KL Rahul stated, “Until and except if that orange cap stays with Kings XI I am delighted. He is [Mayank Agarwal] worked pretty tricky and deserves that cap. I am certain I will consider it off him quickly.”

The skipper is the 2nd highest runs scorer behind his staff-mate and opening spouse Mayank Agarwal. Even though Agarwal has 246 runs in the tournament so far, KL Rahul is on 239 runs.
