Gloucestershire’s match towards Northamptonshire in the Bob Willis Trophy was abandoned on Sunday just after a Northamptonshire player had examined good for COVID-19, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced on Sunday.
The match was underway when it came to light that the player, who did not travel with the squad to Bristol, had examined good and other members of the squad had been in get hold of with him in the final 48 hrs.

“The match officials, following agreement from each participating clubs, known as off the match as a precaution due to a COVID-19 connected situation,” the ECB explained in a statement.
Gloucestershire had been 66-six at lunch when the match was abandoned.
