The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) starts at three in the afternoon this Friday the special device for the bridges of the Constitution and the Immaculate, in which thirteen and a half million trips are expected on Spanish roads. Check here the state of the roads in real time:
The DGT has informed at 1:49 p.m. several accidents that are already complicating circulation on Spanish roads before the official start of the exit operation. In Valencia, on the A-35 near Montesa, where traffic has been cut in the direction of La Font de la Figuera. Also on the C-25 in Barcelona, in the Girona direction, on the S-30 in Seville, and the A-1 near the Jarama circuit, in Madrid there are difficulties due to various accidents.
The departures from Madrid along the A-3, in Rivas, the A-4 at Pinto and the M-607 in Tres Cantos, also present complications, as well as in both directions on the A-2, in Torrejón, and in the A-42, in Fuenlabrada.

Traffic regulation, management and surveillance measures will remain until midnight on Sunday, December 11. In this period there will be a “significant” movement of vehicles throughout the Spanish road network, with long and short journeys.
According to Traffic, the most unfavorable hours to travel On all these days they will meet between 4:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on Friday 2 and Wednesday 7, 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on both Saturday 3 and Thursday 8, and between 4:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on Sunday 11.
The days with intensified traffic
The traffic forecasts prepared by Tráfico for these days contemplate several moments that stand out for their intensity. On the one hand, The departure of the large urban centers will take place in several phases. The first, the most significant, will be on Friday the 2nd and Saturday the 3rd for the beginning of the festive period, and the second, between Wednesday the 7th and Thursday the 8th. The return movements, for their part, will be mainly focused on on Sunday, December 11.
These displacements will affect in a “significant” way the roads whose destination are the mountain areas for the practice of winter sports, as well as tourist rest areas and second residences, the Government Delegation has influenced in a statement.
The DGT calculates for these days two million more trips on the Spanish road network than in 2016when these parties also coincided on Tuesday and Thursday.
In order to favor circulation in the most conflictive areas on each of these ten days, the DGT has provided, among other regulation and management measures, the installation of reversible and additional lanes with cones in the hours of greatest circulatory influx and the establishment of alternative itineraries.
Likewise, works on the roads will be stoppedthe holding of sports events and other events that involve the occupation of the road will be limited and the circulation of trucks in general and those that transport certain merchandise will be restricted in certain sections, dates and times.
Alcohol and drug control
At the same time, the General Directorate of Traffic will start up, coinciding with this long bridge, from Monday, December 5, a new campaign in which surveillance and control will be intensified about the risk posed by the consumption of alcohol and other drugs and driving.
For one week, both the agents of the Traffic Group of the Civil Guard (ATGC) and those of the local police who join it, intensify controls on this risk factor responsible for almost a quarter (24%) of fatal accidents.
For this, they will establish different checkpoints on all types of roads and urban centers and at any time of the day with the aim of preventing people who have ingested alcohol or used drugs from circulating on the roads.
