The return movements, for their part, will be mainly focused on on Sunday, December 11.

Regulatory measures

The DGT calculates for these days two million more trips on the Spanish road network than in 2016when these parties also coincided on Tuesday and Thursday.

At the same time, the General Directorate of Traffic will start up, coinciding with this long bridge, from Monday, December 5, a new campaign in which surveillance and control will be intensified about the risk posed by the consumption of alcohol and other drugs and driving.

For one week, both the agents of the Traffic Group of the Civil Guard (ATGC) and those of the local police who join it, intensify controls on this risk factor responsible for almost a quarter (24%) of fatal accidents.

For this, they will establish different checkpoints on all types of roads and urban centers and at any time of the day with the aim of preventing people who have ingested alcohol or used drugs from circulating on the roads.
