New Delhi: Twitter nowadays is dominated by tweets associated to #BoycottNetflix more than a kissing scene in the Netflix series ‘A Ideal Boy’, directed by Mira Nair. Days right after an advertisement by Tanishq faced backlash for allegedly selling inter-religion marriage, a part of the world-wide-web has expressed its displeasure more than the articles proven in ‘A Ideal Boy’, starring Tabu, Ishaan Khatter and Tanya Maniktala.

The outrage is more than Tanya Maniktala’s character Lata kissing Danesh Razvi’s character Kabir Durrani in the series in a sequence shot in a temple. Lata hailed from a Hindu loved ones and Kabir was a Muslim. Netizens have reacted strongly to the #BoycottNetflix trend. 

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Residence Minister Narrotam Mishra has also reacted to the controversy and in a video message shared on Twitter, he explained that he has ordered the police authorities to appear into the “controversial” articles. 

BJP leader Gaurav Goel tweeted in assistance of ‘Boycott Netflix’ trend. Nevertheless, he refrained from naming ‘A Ideal Boy’ in his tweet.

“If any OTT platform is deliberately insulting the Hindu Gods &amp Goddess, pls file the complaint with the police or area court below Segment 295A of IPC. The law will get care of this kind of offenders,” he tweeted.

‘A Ideal Boy’ is primarily based on Vikram Seth’s 1993 novel of the identical identify.
