Rhea Chakraborty’s situation towards Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Priyanka Singh stands: Bombay Higher Court

 

Mumbai: The Bombay Higher Court on Monday (February 15) refused to quash an FIR lodged towards late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Priyanka Singh for allegedly forging and fabricating a health care prescription for her brother. A division bench of Justices S S Shinde and M S Karnik, having said that, quashed the FIR towards Meetu Singh, yet another sister of Rajput.

The court explained even though there was prima facie proof towards Priyanka Singh, the situation towards Meetu Singh does not stand. The sisters had approached the HC, trying to find to quash the Initial Details Report (FIR) lodged for alleged forgery and fabrication of a health care prescription for their brother for his anxiousness difficulties.

The FIR was lodged towards Priyanka Singh, Meetu Singh and health care provider Tarun Kumar of Delhi’s Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital by Bandra police in Mumbai on September seven final 12 months, based mostly on a complaint filed by Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty.

As per the complaint, Rajput’s sisters and the health care provider had ready a forged and fabricated prescription for anti- depressants for the actor.

Rajput, 34, was identified dead at his residence in suburban Bandra on June 14 final 12 months.

His father K K Singh later on lodged a situation of abetment of suicide and cheating towards Chakraborty and her family members members.

The CBI is conducting a probe into the situation.

Soon after registration of FIR towards Rajput’s sisters, the Bandra police forwarded the situation papers to the Central Bureau of Investigation, as per instructions of the Supreme Court which had explained all scenarios pertaining to the death of Rajput shall be probed by the CBI.
