Mumbai: Mumbai Police have registered a situation towards veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty’s son Mahaakshay and the former’s wife Yogita Bali on a complaint of rape and cheating filed by a lady, an official stated on Saturday.
The situation was registered at Oshiwara police station on Thursday evening primarily based on the complaint lodged by the 38-yr- outdated lady, he stated.
“The complainant stated she was in a connection with Mahaakshay Chakraborty from 2015 to 2018 and all through that time period he had promised to marry her,” the official stated.
“The lady stated that all through their connection, she had gone to see Mahaakshay’sflat at Adarsh Nagar in Andheri West, which he had obtained in 2015. She stated when she went there, the accused made available her a spiked soft drink and forced her to have bodily relations with him,” he extra.
“The lady alleged that when she grew to become pregnant, Mahaakshay asked her to abort the child and gave her tablets,” he stated.
“The lady stated she utilized to request Mahaakshay about their marriage. But in January 2018, he advised her that he can’t marry her, which led to an altercation among them. She stated when she referred to as him, his mom Yogita Bali threatened her,” the official stated.
The complainant later on went to Delhi with her brother to keep with their relatives pal. There, she lodged a complaint towards Mahaakshay and his mom Yogita Bali at Begumpur police station in June 2018, he extra.
The police had registered an offence underneath segment 376 (rape), 313 (leading to miscarriage without the need of woman’s consent) and other folks, and the probe was transferred to the crime branch there. A Delhi court later on granted anticipatory bail to Mahaakshay and his mom in the situation.
In March 2020, the Delhi Higher Court had asked the lady to file her complaint in the court, wherever the offence had taken area. Following that, she filed a complaint at Oshiwara police station in July this yr, the official stated.
