Rakul Preet Singh moves Delhi Higher Court, seeks route to restrain media coverage on her in Bollywood drug situation

 

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Rakul Preet Singh has moved the Delhi Higher Court in search of urgent interim instructions from the court restraining media from working displays or publishing posts towards her in connection with the drug probe which emerged out following the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

The matter is probable to come up for hearing in the coming week.

The petition filed by advocates Himanshu Yadav, Aman Hingorani and Shweta Hingorani claims that Rakul Preet has been in Hyderabad for a movie shoot and was shocked to see media reviews in the evening of September 29 to the impact that the Narcotics Manage Bureau, Mumbai has summoned her to seem prior to it in Mumbai on September 24 in connection with the ongoing investigation in the Rhea Chakraborty`s medicines situation.

Although issuing recognize on the stated plea, a single-judge bench of the large court presided by Justice Navin Chawla had stated, “There has to be some restraint. Media will get to know data even prior to the officers themselves. Reputations are finding tarnished.”

“It is hoped that media homes and Television channels would demonstrate restraint and abide by the System Code and other suggestions whilst creating any report in connection with Rakul Preet Singh,” the bench had stated more.
