Maniesh Paul's short film 'Hichki' comes with social awareness message


Mumbai: Television host and actor Maniesh Paul options in a brief movie titled Hichki, that means hiccups. He says the concept behind the movie was to develop a very little awareness.

Maniesh says his brief movie is about “this character who keeps obtaining hiccups”, including that “it is mentioned that (if you) get that person’s identify who misses you and the hiccup stops.”

He shared a number of particulars about the plot. The movie, he says, is about a character who goes to obtain groceries one particular day, and all of a sudden a identify crosses his thoughts and his hiccups cease. “That is when he remembers that there was a boy on the street who he would continue to keep offering groceries, and due to the fact of the lockdown, he has not been ready to go to that boy. Then he recalls that boy was remembering him,” Maniesh additional.

The movie is about “how we develop into selfish” and how persons “continue to keep contemplating about themselves but there are so several persons on the roads about whom we never even imagine about”.

The movie is directed by Kulish Kant Thakur and also stars Mukti Mohan. It was launched by Amitabh Bachchan on his social media.

“It feels wonderful that Bachchan sir has launched the movie on his social media. I am extremely pleased and thrilled. I imagine I am one particular of his most significant followers. I have normally been a fanboy of Bachchan sir and the way he supports is wonderful. I can not thank him in phrases. I am on cloud 9,” Maniesh informed IANS.
