Film industry kills people, makes them drug addicts: Roopa Ganguly

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party`s Member of Parliament Roopa Ganguly on Monday alleged that the Mumbai movie market “kills men and women” and helps make them “drug addicts”.

“Mumbai movie market kills men and women, helps make them drug addict, and hold insulting lady, but no one is executing something. Mumbai Police stays silent. It does not consider action,” Ganguly informed ANI.

“Why the Bollywood is silent more than the sexual harassment fees levelled by Payal Ghosh towards Anurag Kashyap? Why Mumbai Police is not taking any action towards Anurag Kashyap?” she asked.

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap`s attorney on Monday rejected “the false allegations of sexual misconduct” levelled towards his consumer, terming it “entirely false, malicious and dishonest”.

Actor Payal Ghosh had accused filmmaker Anurag Kashyap of sexual harassment.
