Drugs case: NCB refutes claims of Kshitij Ravi Prasad, says former Dharma Productions' employee not 'humiliated' or 'tortured'


Mumbai: The Narcotics Manage Bureau (NCB) on Monday refuted the claims created by some that Kshitij Prasad, a former executive producer related with Dharma Productions, was humiliated and tormented by the company sleuths, and termed the claims as “mischievous” and “absolutely untrue”.

In a statement, the NCB stated that a information item has been purportedly launched by Satish Maneshinde, the advocate for Kshitij, who was arrested by the Mumbai zonal unit of NCB on Saturday.

It stated the information item alleged that Kshitij was humiliated and tormented by the officers of the Mumbai zonal unit of the NCB.

“It is pretty unambiguously stated right here that the over information item in circulation is mischievous and absolutely untrue. NCB arrested Kshitij as some incriminating proof had been recovered from him,” the company stated.

The NCB statement came immediately after Kshitij`s attorney Satish Maneshinde alleged that his consumer was pressurised to title Karan Johar in the course of the interrogation.

The statement stated that immediately after the involvement of Kshitij in offences underneath the NDPS Act was unveiled, he was positioned underneath arrest immediately after following the due method of law.

“His attorney and his relatives (mom) had been informed as per the process. He was also permitted to meet his father-in-law and his wife at the NCB workplace,” it stated.

The NCB also stated that as Kshitij was not cooperating with the investigation, it was brought to the observe of the court with a request to grant NCB his custody on Sunday when he was developed for remand immediately after a health care check out-up.

Kshitij has been sent to NCB custody until October three. The company additional stated that the court has observed in its purchase that no bodily “unwell-therapy” has been handed out to accused.

The NCB has registered a situation on the request of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) immediately after it observed some alleged chats of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik and Sushant’s property manager Samuel Miranda discussing medicines.

Rhea, Showik, Miranda, Sushant’s personalized personnel Dipesh Sawant, and sixteen other people today have been arrested by the NCB in connection with the situation.

The NCB has also recorded the statement of Bollywood divas Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh, vogue designer Simone Khambatta, Deepika`s former manager Karishma Prakash and various other people in connection with the situation.

Sushant was observed dead on June 14 at his Bandra flat. In addition to the NCB, the CBI and the ED are also probing the death of the actor.
