Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor's phones seized by NCB for forensic analysis in Bollywood drug case probe


MUMBAI: The Narcotics Handle Bureau (NCB) on Saturday recorded statements of actors Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan in the drug probe linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death and an alleged Bollywood-medicines nexus. 

In accordance to sources, the central probe company confiscated the cell phones of 3 actresses. The company will send the seized phones for forensic examination.

In accordance to sources, the central probe company confiscated cell phones of 3 actresses. The company will send the seized phones to forensic examination. 

Even though Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor have been questioned at the NCB’s zonal workplace at Ballard Estate, Padukone was questioned at a guest home in Colaba, an official of the central company mentioned. 

Shraddha Kapoor reached the NCB workplace all around twelve pm and left immediately after 6 hrs, even though Sara Ali Khan reached all around one pm and left all around five.thirty pm, mentioned a PTI report.

Padukone was confronted with her manager Karishma Prakash through questioning, sources mentioned. Padukone, who reached the guest home all around 9.50 am, left at three.50 pm. Prakash, who had been quizzed on Friday also, was also permitted to depart all around three.forty pm. On Friday, NCB had also questioned Dharma Productions’ Anubhav Chopra in connection with movie marketplace-drug nexus.

In a statement, movie-maker Karan Johar had mentioned Prasad joined Dharmatic Enjoyment, sister concern of Johar’s Dharma Productions, in November 2019 on a contract basis for a task which did not materialise. Chopra was briefly linked with his banner as an assistant director and worked only on two tasks, he mentioned.

The NCB had earlier arrested actor Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik and some suspected drug peddlers.

Meanwhile, contemplating the media frenzy all around the ‘A-lister’ Bollywood stars who are becoming questioned in the situation, the Mumbai Police on Saturday issued a warning that media ought to not engage in reckeless chases of actors’ motor vehicles.
