New Delhi: As ‘Omkara’ finished 15 many years considering the fact that its release, actor Vivek Oberoi took a stroll down memory lane and shared a number of anecdotes from the movie.
Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, Omkara revolves close to a half-caste bandit Omkara Shukla (Ajay Devgn) who abducts his lady really like, Dolly Mishra (Kareena Kapoor Khan) from her family members. Actors Vivek Oberoi and Saif Ali Khan played pivotal roles in the film.
Apart from the actors’ performances, the film also grew to become well known for its songs, primarily the foot-tapping ‘Beedi jalaile’.
Recalling shooting for the song, Vivek mentioned: “It was magical how that song came about. Vishal bhai wished to produce a song for a exclusive second in the film. He went to Gulzar saab and informed him to compose the lyrics. Vishal bhai’s quick was that he wished a ‘hit song’. Not only must it be a very good song, but it must be also a hit song. Quickly Gulzar saab came up with the lines, and anyone responded saying that we had a winner at hand.”
The song was shot in Uttar Pradesh for the duration of winter.
“It was a cold evening and we shot via the evening. It was the to start with time when I noticed that when the song played anyone was up on their feet dancing and swaying to the beats of the song. Ganesh Acharya was there choreographing the song. Bipasha Basu, Saif Ali Khan, Deepak Dobriyal, and I had been dancing in the song. And every time that song played, not just us, basically everyone would start off moving. It was freezing cold and the middle of the evening, and in spite of all that the song just produced anyone dance their hearts out. Everyone would dance no matter how exhausted or how cold they had been. That was some thing pretty exclusive to see,” he additional.
Meanwhile, Vivek will be up coming noticed in ‘Inside Edge 3’.
